During the month of July, the registration of Molendum Ingredients’ First Equality Plan was formalized with the labor authority. Over several months, the negotiating committee, composed equally of the legal representation of the workers and the company, has been negotiating and finally agreeing on what constitutes the company’s First Equality Plan.
Following the approval of the Plan, a monitoring committee has been created to oversee the implementation of the proposed measures and ensure compliance over the next four years.
To develop the Plan, a prior diagnosis was carried out, analyzing various current aspects of the company, including a pay audit, to provide an up-to-date picture of Molendum’s current state regarding equality.
This first Plan contains 41 measures in the areas of recruitment and hiring, equality strategy, professional classification and underrepresentation of women, gender-based violence, professional promotion and development, pay and wage gap, training, responsible work-life balance, sexual harassment and harassment based on sex, occupational health and safety, communication, and language.
Undoubtedly, the Plan serves as an effective tool for integrating a series of measures agreed upon with the workers’ representatives, aimed at promoting equality between men and women, as well as ensuring the eradication of any sex-based discrimination that may exist or arise within the company. Additionally, it ensures legal compliance and the absence of discriminatory procedures or policies.
It is truly a step forward in the commitment to working in a truly equal opportunity environment, which will provide competitive advantages to all parties involved.
