Last 4th July, Valencia International University (VIU) celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2023-2024, in which 16,288 students from 63 countries completed their university studies. On this special occasion, Dacsa Group’s Executive Director, Araceli Císcar, had the honour of acting as the patroness of the event, giving an inspiring speech to the new graduates.
During her speech, Araceli highlighted the importance of values such as observation, responsibility, teamwork, flexibility and adaptation to change, which are fundamental for professional and personal development. “We must seek excellence through training, knowledge and a culture of creativity”, said Císcar, motivating the graduates to continue training throughout their lives.
The Dacsa Group Executive Director shared her own experiences and the principles that have guided her successful business career. Císcar emphasised the importance of turning difficulties into opportunities, urging the graduates to clearly define their values in order to clarify their professional future. “Make ethics your raison d’être”, she advised, underlining the importance of maintaining ethical conduct in all areas of life.
In her speech, Araceli Císcar also addressed the irruption of artificial intelligence in the workplace, leaving a message of hope for new generations. “Faced with AI, we have the ability to lead the future to create value and form leading teams,” she said, highlighting the human capacity to add constant value with new ideas.
The Rector of the International University of Valencia, Eva María Giner, thanked Araceli Císcar for her support and involvement, highlighting her defence of the culture of effort, innovation and excellence. The ceremony, which was broadcast live on VIU’s YouTube channel, was also attended by the journalist Esther Vaquero as the presenter, as well as a wide institutional representation of the university.
The graduation included the awarding of prizes for the Best Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Transcripts, as well as the Best Teachers for the 2022-2023 academic year. In addition, the Medal of Honour was awarded to Dr. José Piquer Belloch for his extensive career and the advances made in the field of Global Neuroscience and Social Change.
Araceli Císcar concluded her speech by urging the graduates to set their professional goals clearly and to believe in their abilities. “Surround yourself with the best teams and try to be part of them because they will help you grow”, she advised, reflecting the collaborative and leadership spirit that also characterises Dacsa Group.
